Pricing — LegalEngineers.ai

Legal Engineering pricing — Diagnostic, Build Pod, and Run retainer. Outcome-based fixed-fee engagements for law firms ready to operationalize AI. Diagnostic fee credited to your build.

Why pay for a Diagnostic instead of getting a free assessment?

Free assessments are sales calls. The Diagnostic is a real engagement: senior legal engineers on site, workflow mapping, KPI baselines, and a build roadmap you own regardless of whether you proceed. Because the fee is credited to your build if you move forward within 60 days, firms that proceed effectively pay nothing for it.

What does 'outcome-guaranteed' mean in a Build Pod?

Each Build Pod is scoped to a specific measured improvement — for example, cutting first-draft turnaround on a contract type — with the metric and baseline agreed before work starts. If the measured outcome isn't reached, we keep working at no additional fee until it is, or the remedy defined in the engagement letter applies. Vendor-style time-saved claims are never the success metric.

How is confidential client data handled during a paid engagement?

Every MSA includes a no-train clause: your data is never used to train models. Work happens in your tenant with least-privilege access, DMS permissions respected end to end, and audit logging on all data access — the controls ABA Formal Opinion 512 expects firms to verify before adopting AI tools.

Who owns the governance of what gets built?

Your firm does. We build inside your governance framework — approved tools, tiered human review, testing and logging — and if you don't have one yet, establishing it is part of the engagement. Licensed attorneys make all legal judgments; engineers build and operate the systems.

How long does implementation take, and how much lawyer time does it need?

The Diagnostic runs two to three weeks and needs a handful of interviews. A first Build Pod runs 8–12 weeks, piloting with a small group inside tools your lawyers already use — no migration, no new platform. Lawyer time is concentrated in short feedback sessions, not training marathons.
